Alicia and Louie watch SARABANDE as her bottom gets powerwashed just after coming out of the water.

Boats always look so much bigger out on land!

Down to business:  outside, Alicia scrubbed the hull with the biggest batch of homemade scouring powder ever made (visible on glasses, shirt, face, arms)

Inside, Brian tackles the disgusting job of marine sanitation in the head.

Old head seacock comes out.

The resulting hole in the bottom of the boat (that's daylight).

Alicia procrastinates.

But eventually she gets to tackling the scratches.

In an attempt to blend the old paint with new, hours of wet sanding with extremely fine sandpaper ensue.

Day,

and night.

Night-sanding rig:  clamp light + dingy oar + rickety ladder.  That is a headlamp around her neck, but Alicia refused to be photographed wearing it.

The new and improved head seacock (plus fresh paint for that cabinet)!
